We’re looking for a Duty Support Worker to join the team of staff working in our Supported Accommodation .
Rate of pay is £7 per hour, rising to £7.14 following the Probationary Period.
Hours of work are an average of 32 hours weekly, and include daytime, night cover and weekends / Bank Holidays (all hours paid at the same rate). There is no regular pattern of work. Hours are normally notified at least a week in advance.
The role involves providing support for clients at the YMCA’s Supported Housing Project for young people aged 16 to 30, and contributing to the running of the project as required. You will have responsibility for a small caseload of up to three individuals and more during times of vacancy or absence of full time Keyworker / Coaches.
Professional experience of work with young people is a requirement of the post, as is experience of working in a performance-measured way. The successful applicant will be able to work positively with vulnerable young people in order to reduce their vulnerabilities and ensure that they achieve significant progress.
